This week year three have been designing and printing their own t-shirts to wear as part of their campaign to save the rainforests of the world. Aren’t they fab?
We have been learning all about Christmas Trees in Foundation over the last week.
It was exciting to have the trees that we chopped down at Rushmere Country Park delivered to school. We designed our own decorations and had a grand switch on of the Christmas lights.
“5…4…3…2…1…switch on!”
We have also been celebrating Christmas with our own Christmas dinner! It was so fun!
An elf came to visit Foundation and has been causing mayhem!!
We have all been eager to find out where Holly the elf was hiding each day and what mischief she was up to…
We have been writing a diary of everything that she has been up to. Can you write about her adventures at home?
Here are a few things that she has been up to…
Year 1 really enjoyed sharing breakfast and their songs with their parents this morning.
The Year 1 teachers are very proud of their amazing singing and actions!
Thank you parents for your support 🙂
Congratulations to everyone in 4b!
After much hard work and dedication to improving our presentation, every child has now been awarded a handwriting pen! We are continuing to work hard this week in order to share our wonderful work in the Tree Week display.
Well done everyone, keep up the great work!
Year 5 is full of artists and poets this week as we embark on the create stage of our tree week project. Our project question: Does each oak tree have its own story? will be answered through a range of art and poetry.
Here are some photos of our journey so far:
Year 6 are loving tree week!
After an RE day yesterday looking at the Bodhi tree, today year 6’s are being scientists!
At the moment they are observing the effects of and links between temperature and the rate in which a plant grows.
Later they will be looking at exceptions to the rule- how certain plants have adapted and changed to suit their environments linking back specifically to the Bodhi Tree!
This will all come together for our end product of our tree week display!
This morning, year 6 have been busy using reliable resources to find out where the bodhi tree originated from and other countries in the world where it grows.
The children have been using an atlas to find the grid reference for these countries.
The learning zones and buzz in the classroom has been amazing!
