Year 3 Wheelpower

By D Gray6th July 2016

We were very lucky  to have a visit from the charity Wheelpower, who help support and encourage disabled children to take part in sport. Year 3 had the opportunity to have a go on wheelchairs that are used for wheelchair basketball. They came away with the understanding that wheelchairs are a positive thing as they enable people to take part in sport and to do things they might not have been able to do without one.

Million Minutes Runners Up!

By D Gray1st July 2016

I am so proud of all the children in my class and all the minutes that they read! The buzz around reading this week has been phenomenal. Though we didn’t win, we did incredibly well to come second and we can share in Mr Morrison’s class’ success. The £1000 reading corner will be on the lower key stage 2 corridor so all the children who have taken part can enjoy it!

million minutes

Well done again to everyone who read 🙂

Million Minutes homework

By D Gray24th June 2016

Year 3 and 4 have had an incredible few days with the number of minutes they’ve racked up for our million minutes competition. We’re currently in second place in MK and Northampton with Mr Morrison’s class hot on our heels!

This weeks homework is going to be reading for at least 20 minutes per day.

As a parent, it’s also important to read with and read to your child so they have the example set for them.

Thanks and have a lovely week.

One Million Minutes Reading Challenge

By D Gray22nd June 2016

We’ve started the Million Minutes reading challenge with a BANG! For the next 7 days, the children need to be racking up as many minutes reading as they can. This will be totalled up each day and added to the leader board. We’re competing against schools in MK and Northampton and at one point today, we were top of the leader board! Let’s keep it up!
