Following a handwriting course KS1 teachers were lucky enough to attend, 1b have been learning how they can exercise their bodies and minds to achieve even better handwriting and learning throughout the curriculum, Â not just in Literacy. Here are some pictures of us warming up to do amazing writing.
A big thank you to all those  who have attended a Curriculum Tea over the past two weeks. It has been lovely to see so many faces and continue to grow that essential community feeling. I hope that the evenings have provided you with an insight into Year 1 and clarified all the key information.

This week Year 1D Â took a walk on the wild side, as we ventured out of the classroom on our very own Bear Hunt. On our way we had to tackle some squelchy, soggy mud, swishy swashy grass as well as the squidgy sandpit, it’s a good job that we weren’t scared!!!
Well that was until we found something hiding in the reception…
We have had great fun over the past few weeks doing some cooking in preparation for our Curriculum Teas. Children have been busy making and decorating cakes, flapjacks, rice krispie cakes and a variety of sandwiches to serve to parents after school.
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has helped during these cooking sessions for all of the time and effort you put in – we couldn’t have done it without you and the children had a fantastic time!
The children loved drawing around their friends and labelling all the different body parts.
The class has shown great resilience and  perseverence during our half term assessments. We have certainly grown our learning over the last six weeks.
