Year 6 have had a fantastic day today on their Viking Ignite. We spent the morning pretending we were real Vikings and Saxons, making lots of Viking artefacts, including:
We then heard some Viking stories and learnt new facts about the Viking and Saxon period.
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who made such an effort with your Viking outfits, you looked amazing!!
Apologies for the homework not being put up on Friday evening.
We will make sure to do this in future and apologies for any inconvenience this has caused.
Here is this weeks homework due on Wednesday 10th February.
I hope you have all had a lovely weekend!
The children loved preparing and having a special picnic with their bears!
Here is just a few photos of some of the children sharing their home learning.
Thank you for all your support at home – just 5 minutes per day when they are not too tired well help them progress more.
They have felt so proud of their achievements! Well done!
We have been learning to recognise the different coins and sort the coins. I gave them a task to ask their trio learners questions about the coins. They asked each other to match, recognise and make patterns with the coins. Lots of knowledge questions.
One group made up a game using questions to recognise them. I asked them if the could think of harder questions. They said about having a shops and asking how much things cost.
Next week we will be looking at the value of the coins and adding small amounts.
Excellent maths engagement again this week!
The children loved talking about their holidays. They also enjoyed writing sentences and drawing pictures about what they did.
Thank you for bringing them in to share!
