To celebrate excellently presented, acutely written and inspirational imaginative homework and enjoyment of reading in 6b, we are launching the weekly homework and reading award.

Children will be able to win awards, prizes or opportunities for the completing homework to an excellent standard.

Each week one or two children’s homework will be picked to win the homework award. This piece of homework will be photographed and shown on the website for all to see. Once the children have won 10 homework awards, they will be rewarded with a special lunch, prize or opportunity of some sort!

For the reading award, once a child has read and changed one of the school’s reading scheme books (which has been read out loud to an adult), the children will receive a reading award. Once they have read 10 books, the children will receive a special lunch, prize or opportunity.

Here are the first 3 week homework awards:

Frederik’s Philip Pullman timeline of his life
Cameron’s news paper report on Alan Turing
Joe’s Inspirational role mode poster.
Keep viewing the website to find out who’s homework is next!
  1. Lisa Palmer

Fantastic way of praising our children for completing great homework, think this should be across the whole school as it would be good for children to be recognised for the effort they put into homework.

  2. Roseann curran

This is a great idea, just read Fred’s timeline on Phillip Pullman really interesting. Keep up the good work to all in Brooklands Farm.
