Here is the homework for children in Year 3 this week!
Any problems or questions please ask the children to speak to their teacher on Monday.
In year 6 this week we have begun to use our new close the gap plans. We are sharing these at parents evening ready for them to come home on Friday.
We are really excited about taking ownership of our learning and preparing ourselves for secondary school by having our own timetables and homework planners. In lessons we will be identifying areas that we want to grow at home.
Any questions then please come and ask the team.
Class 3b were looking fantastic on Thursday in their World Book Day costumes! Thank you to all the parents and carers for helping your children dress up and to those of you who were able to come in and read with us!
Lots of creativity, reading and great book discussions took place and it was lovely to see all of the children getting very excited about reading! In the afternoon we made dream catchers inspired by The BFG – Roald Dahl. These aren’t quite finished so we will be sharing these with you soon!
Well done 3b!
What a wonderful way to start the day! We had lots of parents and siblings join us in the classrooms to read with Year 1 and 2 children this morning. There was a real buzz of excitement as the children showed off their book character costumes and they lovedĀ reading books together. Thank you to everyone who joined us and well done for the huge amount of effort put into the costumes!
Another lovely celebration of a super week! These children have come back to school ready to learn, with determination and resilience! Well done to all of you – it was certainly well deserved!
Wow what a return to school Year 2 have had on Countess Way! It is good to be back and seeing lots of really high learning zones and amazing progress in writing! What has particularly impressed me has been the presentations that everyone has so far presented! Olivia Bailey andĀ Emily Brown blew us away on Monday with lovely personal features linked to facts, creative acrostic poems and most importantly how prepared they were and how well they knew their ‘stuff’!
Tuesday continued in a similar way with some super presentations from Callum and Nicole who really expressed themselves, spoke clearly and thought carefully about their audience! I really can’t wait to hear some of the others!
