This morning, 1b have been very busy creating their octopus characters, which will be used this afternoon to innovate the story of The Rainbow Fish and The Big Blue Whale. The children have already thought of the amazing wow words (adjectives) that will be used in their writing to create an image in the readers mind. Watch this space!
We made use of the lovely weather today and took our learning outside! As part of our project we are connecting our knowledge of instruction writing to feeding our class fishes, Hero and Max. This is us giving clear and simple instructions to our partners using bossy verbs and time connectives.
We’ve had a fantastic World Book Week in Year One! We had a lovely time dressing up and visiting the special reading area, along with a super cosy Friday in our pj’s. To top off our amazing week, we have also won the attendance trophy in 1b – Well done to all of you!
