Miss Jenkins has gone and done it again! We loved the ‘Open, Grow, Believe’ song so much she’s written another fabulous song for us to sing, this one to remind us to use our finger spaces in our writing.
Yet another creation from Miss Jenkins. This fantastic song will help us remember to use our capital letters when writing.
Year 1 had a great time this morning playing in the snow
We experimented with the snow to see how long it would take to melt.
Year 1 are really enjoying learning about the Great Fire of London.
We have enjoyed sharing our home learning projects with each other and had a great ignite day to start the learning for our next project.
Year 1 really enjoyed sharing breakfast and their songs with their parents this morning.
The Year 1 teachers are very proud of their amazing singing and actions!
Thank you parents for your support 🙂
Year 1 enjoyed eating their Christmas lunch!
Congratulations to Ava who was presented with her gold pin this morning, we look forward to welcoming your family back when you have achieved your determined pin too!
Year 1 had a great time today on their walk to the allotments.
They looked at the different types of vegetables that grow there. They also had the chance to look around a greenhouse and pick some salad leaves. They also were able to pick some vegetables to bring back to school.
The children are all inspired to grow vegetables and we are going to have a go at planting our own and watching them grow at school.
Remember Year 1 parents that our classrooms will be open on Thursday straight after school (3:30-4pm) and again on Friday morning (8:30-9:00) for you to come in and see the children’s learning.
The children have all been using their ‘determined’ muscles today to make books all about themselves. We will be carrying on with these books ready to share them with you.
Many thanks
The Year 1 Team 🙂
