Well done to all of the children who have completed the better reads programme with Mrs Behany this week.
Your growth mindsets have allowed you to take HUGE steps in your learning!
We are all very proud of you.
Year 1 have been really engaged in making their own story books. They love making books and are enjoying being authors.
We have invented our own stories based on the story of The Little Red Hen.
This half term year 1c have been working with Miss Wendy to create a dance all about toys and games. The dance includes a range of toys/games including dolls, cars and snakes and ladders.
The children are very proud of the dance and enjoyed performing it!
Well done for your hard work!!
This week in the maths area we have been learning about measuring. Today we became maths investigators who had to hunt around the classroom to find things that were bigger and smaller than a ruler.
We worked brilliantly together as a team, taking in turns and maintaining a high learning zone for the whole task! Well done boys!
We also showed our determination and labelled all of the objects we measured.
Year 1c have had a great start!
We enjoyed sharing our amazing home learning projects as a class. We are going to transform the Year 1 reading area into a Julia Donaldson book corner using all the puppets, posters and books made by the children during the summer.
We have started our learning about Julia Donaldson in school by reading the story What the Ladybird Heard.
Here are a few of the home learning projects we have shared so far…
