…The children continued working out problems with one less 0-20. They enjoyed drawing different amounts of rockets, planets and aliens etc on the white boards and wiping off one to get the answer. They learnt that ‘less’is the same as ‘take away’
We have a ‘take away’ action and they are beginning to recognise the take away sign.

The children were really involved in the big Art session created by Miss. Broome this week. They experienced different ways to construct using shapes. They constructed houses and tested out their shape knowledge.
Amelia Webb and Paul Ten Brink have achieved the pin this week. As they are:

In Early Years we look at how children develop skills to be good learners. These are the characteristics of effective learning.
We were wrapped up warm, ready for the lantern festival. It was loads of fun to sing along with the rest of the school. We loved the fireworks!!

We have been having great fun this week exploring space. The children pretended to be astronauts in our space ship.
We played with aliens on our moon scene.
We made our own rockets.
