We have been practising our counting. We needed to count slowly, one at a time and check that we had the right total.
We role-played the funny bones story and being doctors at the hospital.
We worked hard to label our houses by applying our phonics.
Good Job Foundation!
We worked super hard on creating our dark, dark houses. The children decided on exactly what they needed for their house and we used the resourced in the environment to create. Of course we needed to paint them black to be dark, dark houses!
The children loved playing in their own restaurant this week.
We cooked the food in our sand kitchen, served it to our friends and even swept up the table and washed up all the cutlery!
This week we were learning to be future surgeons and doctors!
As part of our Funnybones project we are learning about our bodies and how to keep healthy. We pretended to be doctors and take care of our patients.
This week we have been learning to retell the story of ‘Funnybones’. We pretended to be skeletons, putting on the outfits and finding ways to ‘scare’ each other. We used puppets to perform our own version of the story. However, the most fun we had was when we made our own dark, dark house outside and drew out parts of the story and worked as a team to become different characters. Of course, we all wanted to be the dog skeleton in the end!
