Let’s get this Art started!!!

Since the beginning of the year have been very lucky to have worked in partnership with MKG and their Start the Art- Out and About community early years project working with pre school children and their adults and is delivered to the Foundation children at Countess Way. Check out this video that explains what we do and why it is so important!

We are happy to announce that the Start the Art team will be back from the 4th July at Countess Way joining Miss Broome to roll out some amazing immersive creative activities for our youngsters, kicking off creative exploration and learning. Running a Marathon for the NSPCC

We worked really hard on Friday and ran our hearts out to do as many laps as we could of the playground in order to raise money for the NSPCC Speak Out. Stay Safe campaign.

The children worked really hard and ran as much as they could in two 20 minute slots.

Thank you for sending your sponsorship money in, we will find out soon how far the children ran and how much money we have raised.

Creating a den in our outside space!

We had a great time last week making a den with Miss Broome in our outside area!

We weaved  branches of willow in and out of a wooden structure to make a safe and secure den that we can read stories in and transform for each of our projects.

Thank you Miss Broome for helping us create this! We really enjoyed making it with you.

 

Hungry Caterpillars with food!

We had a great time creating our very own hungry caterpillars using food. We had to be careful to wash our hands and keep them clean so we don’t spread germs. We then made our caterpillars using the right colours and estimated how many grapes we might be able to fit on our skewer before we needed to put the head on. Of course, they tasted delicious!

Crime Scene Investigations!

The children were very interested in police so we decided to have a crime scene role-play area!

We were very lucky to have the police come down to take fingerprints to help with our investigation! Who was the criminal?
