We had a fantastic day at the safari park today, igniting our Ears, Tails andĀ WhiskersĀ topic. We just couldn’t pick our favourite part so here are some highlights:
We were lucky enough to have a visit from one of our parents that is a roofer by trade. We were able to see the materials that he uses when building houses and the safety equipment that the builders have to wear on site. We learnt loads about builders. Thank you very much for your visit!
We have been looking at the core book “The Three Little Pigs”. This week we had a go at looking at different materials and seeing what we could build with. What was the best building material? Stones, bark, leaves, sticks, ice…?
We have all been working really hard over the past week to create our own pig from our core book ‘The Three Little Pigs’. We had to have a lot of determination to finish the project because it took us a whole week but we think it turned out pretty special!
The children had a lot of fun and made a lot of mess exploring new mediums to create with… have a look!
We had a very exciting morning to ignite our ‘The Three Little Pigs’ project.
There are building sites everywhere around our school so we had to go and take a look at what is happening from the school balcony. What can you see in a building site?
