We have been singing to learn our numbers!
We looked great in our aprons on Friday and had a great time being baking heroes!
Thank you to everyone that donated a cake for our cultural bake sale. We had a plethora of different cakes from around the world. See a few pictures below.
Thank you so much for your generosity at our cake sale. We felt like our school community pulled together to make Children in Need a fantastic event! We can’t wait to find out how much money we have raised in total across the school.
All the cakes that were left over from the bake sale were donated to Willen Hospice. They were very grateful for the sweet treats for their visitors over the weekend.
All of the children were so excited all week in the lead up to our space museum. Thank you to everyone that came to see our work. Here are a few highlights for those of you that couldn’t make it:
The children in Foundation 2 have been working really hard on our core book ‘Whatever Next!’ and our space theme.
We are inviting all parents in to view our work in our ‘Space Museum’ on Friday after school. We will be hosting our Children in Need cultral bake sale at the same time so come and buy a cake and enjoy our work.
The Foundation Team
Over the past two weeks we have been looking at Elmer and have been very involved in our learning. Our favourite thing has been to create pictures and models of Elmer’s patchwork. We have been working hard together to create our models and we are very proud of the work that we have produced, have a look below.
WOW! We have had a very exciting start to out week. Everyone was very excited to visit the VW and Audi cars as well as the AA Breakdown vehicles this week. This inspired us to start to think about our own safari vehicle and what we would like in our own car. We will keep you posted with our final design!
In Foundation we have been looking at our core book, Elmer this week. Elmer has such a beautiful multicoloured pattern that inspired us to create our own patterns with beads for the jewellery shop.
Look at our high involvement levels while we work hard to make our patterns with the very fiddly straw beads.
Last week we explored 2D shapes by finding out if we could make the shapes using the wooden blocks.
It was tricky to find curved blocks to make a circle and blocks that were the same length to make the sides of a square. We had to work together as a team to be successful.
