Year One were surprised to find that something magical had visited our classroom overnight! We explored the items they had left behind, these inspired us to write stories and get creative.
Year One will have PE sessions every Tuesday and Friday. Please do not forget to bring their PE kit in.
Many thanks,
Year One
It’s been great hearing of all the children’s stories from their Summer breaks! Today we got straight back into our learning, incorporating the exciting things from the Summer holidays into the children’s writing and focusing more on our key author – Julia Donaldson.
Well done to the new 1c! You have all worked extremely hard and have been very determined with your transition into year 1. We have had a great week! We particularly enjoyed our trip to Rushmere. We spent time touching different trees and describing these to our partners who were blind folded. We also spent time looking up above. We saw nests, squirrels and even a football stuck in the trees!
I hope you have a great summer and I look forward to welcoming you back in September.

1b have been so determined in their learning and friendships during transition, they have been a pleasure to teach! Today we took our learning outside and went on a shape hunt, tallying off the different shapes as we found them.
Today, we were lucky to have two police officers visit our school. The children were allowed to sit in the car and listen to the siren, along with wearing police uniform! Here are a few children from 1b enjoying the visit.
