We were very excited to award our very first Calm pin in Class 2b.
This particular young man is a great asset to our class and we are so proud of him. He has set a perfect example to the rest of the team in Class 2b! Well done!

Just a quick message to say Miss Jeffs’ after school maths club running on 11.2.15 is cancelled. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
Miss Jeffs’ before school reading clubs are still on.
Thank you.
Well done to these children who have completed fantastic David Walliams homework!
Well done to Jamie-Lea and Joe for producing the winning persuasive pieces which will be sent off to try and win us the David Walliams visit!
We enjoyed some shared reading at the end of the day.
We paired up and read stories to each other helping each other to sound out unfamiliar words. It was a great way to practise reading with lots of expression.
We had a very exciting morning to ignite our ‘The Three Little Pigs’ project.
There are building sites everywhere around our school so we had to go and take a look at what is happening from the school balcony. What can you see in a building site?
We are looking at 2D and 3D shapes this week in Foundation 2 and what better way to explore these shapes than to investigate them in the flurry of snow that we had on Tuesday!
After we wrapped up as warm as we could, we headed out and used the 3D shapes that we were looking at to print in the snow and have a look at shapes of the faces as well as moulding different shapes with the snow.
Year 1 had a great time this morning playing in the snow
We experimented with the snow to see how long it would take to melt.
Foundation have been innovating the story ‘We’re Going On a Bear Hunt’ so that we are going on a hunt for a different animal. Ladybird class have been hunting for sharks this week. We had a lot of fun role-playing the story together.
Off of the boats into the deep, cold ocean…
Through the small, prickly school of fish…
Through the slimy, spikey seaweed…
Past the scary, blue octopus on the rocks…
Into the big, dark shipwreck…
IT’S A SHARK!!!
