Happy Easter

It’s the end of term and what a busy term it’s been.

Mrs Higginbottom has had her baby.  Hugo James Higginbottom was born on 22nd March 2015 at 11.02pm weighing 8lbs 9oz.  Hugo and mummy are both doing really well and we send them all our love.

We wish our Teachers that are leaving us lots of luck at their new schools and thank you for all your hard work.

Please enjoy your Easter Holidays.  Don’t eat too much chocolate!

Happy Easter

Miss Low’s Blog – 16th March 2015

20th March 2015Mrs E Allen

This week I have been to the Challenge Partners Conference in Manchester.  It was focused on Meeting Challenge through Collaboration.  There were an excellent range of activities arranged throughout the day to provoke our thinking and I met lots of other amazing Teachers and Head Teachers.  And supports us to build a school at the forefront of national thinking.

Today we were all very excited about the solar eclipse.  We knew that we couldn’t look at the sun so we kept the sun on our backs so that we could feel the solar eclipse.  The sun was out but there was no warmth on our backs.  What an experience!  We then went and wrote about it and the results can be seen on our class pages.

We also saw it by using a pin hole projector using the sun coming in through the windows. We even had a fabulous pair of solar eclipse glasses made for us!

Here are some of the photos:

Miss Low’s Blog – 13th March 2015

13th March 2015Mrs E Allen

It’s been a very busy week!

I’ve been to see David Cameron at No.10 Downing Street and he knows all about Brooklands Farm Primary School and how amazing we are.  It was very windy but I managed to take a selfie!

I’ve also met with an outstanding Teaching School in Northampton.  We are going to be working in partnership with them to continue our outstanding journey.

And today I’ve visited our new school site.  Its really growing fast every day.  Here are a few photos of what it looks like today.

Year 3 Ancient Greek Olympic Games

16th October 2014Miss K Higginbottom

I was incredibly proud of all year 3 Greek athletes on Tuesday afternoon…they competed against each other with such sporting prowess in the Brooklands Olympics! Thank you for being the first year group to invite parents to school to share your learning – it was great and I loved the costumes!

Peer assessment…Teacher’s Turn!

30th September 2014Miss K Higginbottom

Yesterday your teachers met in small teams to help each other move forward in their learning. Their focus was -providing you with good feedback. They worked in trios so that they were able to provide each other with good questions, positive ideas and ways to improve.  There was some excellent learning talk happening. Can you spot some learning zones 4 and 5 ‘s in the pictures below?
