Mrs Hern’s Maths Group have been given 2 mental maths tests do for homework. This is not due in until Friday 7th November.
It is our groups challenge to grow our mental maths so that our scores are 17 and over.

Test 8 Questions:

2. What is the square root of 64?
3. How many grams are equivalent to 2.8kg?
4. What is the sum of the angles within a triangle?
5. Write the number nine thousand and nine in figures.

6. Rulers cost 28p each. How much would two rulers cost?
7. Which number would you add to 650 to make 1000?
8. Which number multiplied by itself equals 49?
9. A bag or sweets costs 14p. How much would five bags cost?

10. A rectangle measures 12cm x 4cm. What is its area?

11. What is half of 7600?
12. What is the size of angle A marked on your answer sheet?
13. How many 11p sweets can you buy for £1?
14. Look at your answer sheet. What temperature is shown on the
thermometer?
15. What is 35 less than 100?

was the programme?

October Half Term Spelling Lists

This week’s spelling list are either ‘per’, ‘pro’ or ‘pre’ spellings. The children will be tested on the Wednesday we come back in their normal homework marking slot.

Children’s spellings are individualised to their needs. The spelling rule for each week is the same for all children. Children will either be focused on a green, orange or yellow spelling list. Children need to focus on these spellings for their spelling test but can look at others to progress their spellings further.

In year 6 we have a weekly spelling test. Children will be given their spellings on a Wednesday which they will learn for a week. They will then be tested the following Wednesday.
