In Year 2 we are thoroughly enjoying our dinosaur project. During Enrichment we have been fortunate enough to have Mr Smith the artist teaching us! Here is a photo of our amazing dinosaur sculptures that we created using wood and other recyled materials.
In literacy we have now finished writing dinosaur adventure stories and have now started learning how to write a dinosaur information report! We have lots of knowledge about the Stegosaurus. Ask me about its appearance and special features!
Some of the Key Stage 2 children had the privilege of going to the Anti Bullying conference in London last week. They came back and shared all the amazing activities they had done to raise awareness of preventing bullying.
One of the activities was to create a true selfie. On a piece of paper each child writes down everything that they know about themselves and are true statements. This means the children are then listening to themselves and ignoring anything negative that others say about them! We took on this challenge and created our own true selfies, on them we wrote things like:
– what they like
– what they don’t like
– what they are scared of
– personality traits e.g. kind, honest, good listener
– things that they are a part of e.g. restorative practice leaders
Here are some photos of our selfies!
The second ‘individual’ pin was awarded in 5c today. Congratulations to Keaton! Members of 5c said he had been an individual by ‘making good choices and being responsible’ and for ‘achieving learning zones 4 and 5’. We are all very proud of you!
Year 3 have really enjoyed all their Victorian experiences so far! A huge thank you to parents for the time and effort you put in to your child’s costume and also a huge thank you to those parents who came along on our trip 🙂
A huge well done to all the childrens’ amazing effort in their homework this week. I have really enjoyed looking at the different posters!
Some pieces have been selected to be displayed on our project ‘wow home learning’ board. Well done to Loveleen, Eesha, Freya, Zakk and Gieselle 🙂

Congratulations to Shahyan who was presented with his gold pin for opening, growing and believing! Shahyan only officially joined the school in September but is already a true Brooklands boy who already has a great understanding of the Brooklands values and shows this in daily life at school. We are all very proud!
