We have been exploring using clay this week to make some owls. Have a look at a few of our creations:
It has been very wet at times this week so we took the opportunity to investigate what happens when we mix colours together.
This week has been eventful with many late nights and lots of fireworks!
The children have had a wonderful time exploring fireworks by creating pictures and dances from firework shapes.
We have also really enjoyed role-playing a firework night bonfire, using drums to represent the bangs of the firework display.
Oohhh!! Ahhhh!!!

Year 5 have had a mesmerising week learning and turning their classrooms into the frozen planet. We have been really lucky to meet Lisa who has provided us with some insightful information all about our topic and have been enthralled by some clips from the David Attenborough series ‘Frozen Planet’. We have worked really well as a team and as individuals to design our areas for our classroom, making snowflakes, ice, animals and igloos!
I hope you have all had a great week and look forward to discovering more about frozen planet.
This is the home learning for year 1 on Countess Way. It is due in on Wednesday 18th November. It continues the learning we have done so far on the Great Fire of London. We look forward to sharing your home learning in class.
Big CONGRATULATIONS to Rylee in year 1 who achieved his Open, Grow, Believe Pin today! We are all so proud of how well you have settled in and your knowledge of our Brooklands Farm ethos.
Rylee said, “I open my heart by helping my friends, I have grown my handwriting and to do all that I always believe in myself.”
WOW what a Brooklands Farm superstar!
It was lovely to share this special moment with your family as well, well done Rylee!
Heidi and Destiny spent their wet break, drawing pirate ships! What a wonderfully productive way to carry on with our project!
