We have had some high involvement levels last week!
Especially when the children found lots of objects in the Year 2 classroom. These included a witches hat, a wand, lots of glitter on the floor and a cat! This sparked lots of discussion about what happened, and who has come to visit our school! The children spoke to their talking trios about how the objects got there! This is called a ‘Hook’ which captures their imagination and helps them engage in the new story. This is part of our literacy ‘talk for writing’ sequence.
