Mathletics Summer Challenge!

Next week there is a Mathletics Summer Challenge, where we compete against other schools to get the most Mathletics points! The competition runs from 25th June – 1st July 2018.

Please encourage your children to get logged on and complete lots of activities on there so that they can gain points for our school (and practise lots of concepts that they’ve learnt this year in school)! We would love to get as many points as possible and get as high up on the schools leader board as we can!

Good luck everyone!

SKIP 2B FIT at Brooklands Farm

Wow! What an amazing and inspirational couple of days working in partnership with SKIP 2B FIT.

All children in our school showed amazing resilience and growth mindset towards improving their own personal bests. We all really enjoyed the motivational competitions between staff and children. Mr Rickett and Mathias are currently our skipping champions – we are looking forward to see if anyone can beat their scores in the future.

Year 1 Home Learning

Happy Half Term everyone!

Here is the Home Learning for this week.

Please also find attached sound mats for all the different phases of phonics to help with your writing tasks.

Welcome Back Year 1!

The children settled very well back into their classes after the holidays 🙂

Thank you for all the fantastic home learning you did about our year group author.

Here are some quality websites which will help your child with remembering the digraphs and trigraphs. They will be constantly using these when they are reading, writing and decoding words.

Any questions come and ask Mrs.Jenkins or Mrs.Taylor

Welcome to year 2 class 2D!

I really cannot wait to meet all of the children and families of class 2D on Monday when we start transition! It really is one of the most exciting days of the year as we grow our relationships together!

If you haven’t signed up for a transition tea yet then please do! You really need to come and explore what it means to be a ‘Calm’ year 2 together as it’s important that this journey is done together! You will need to book one of these online through a link sent on Parent Pay.

Please also know that the door is always open, we can grow anything together and we need to believe that we can achieve anything. No question is too small or big (or too silly either). Please come and connect with me at anytime if you need to and I hope we can start this next step of the adventure with lots of excitement! Let us build one community together 😀

Looking forward to the last 3 weeks of the school year!

Mr Morrison

Well Done to Maher and Ewan!

Maher and Ewan are the first to achieve their Spring target card ribbons!!

They are amazing year one learners who always try their best.

They achieved their targets and we spoke about their British Values too.

Thank you for being part of our team and keep up all your hard work!

Who is going to be next to achieve the ribbon?
