Silverstone 10K!

By l hearn11th May 2018

On Wednesday, Brooklands Farm came third out of eighteen schools in the Silverstone 10K! It was a great event and we loved having supporters there to cheer us on. Miss Ritchie also got a medal for being the fastest female out of all the school teams! A massive well done to everyone that took part.

We are already excited about next year and would love it if we could get more parents, governors and staff involved as it is open to all of you! We will let you know more details nearer the time.

Year 5 homework

By l hearn4th May 2018
In recent weeks, Year 5 have started using Google Classroom to share and present their learning. We are now sending homework home in this format.
Your child should know their gmail log in. It is their first and second name followed by @brooklandsfarm.milton-keynes.sch.uk. They should also know their password. Once they are logged on, they can click on Google Classroom.
If your child is unable to log on, please get them to speak to their class teacher on Tuesday morning. Also, if your child is unable to log on to the internet at home, they can print the learning out at school on Tuesday.
If you have any questions about Google Classroom, please come and ask you child’s class teacher.
Have a lovely weekend!

Bikeability

By l hearn7th February 2018

It has been an intense 3 days of cycling in very low temperatures but everyone tried amazingly hard, were very resilient and all received a certificate for their effort! It has been lovely to see how much everyone can progress over 3 sessions and they had great instructors to support them. Some children managed to pass their Level 2 as well!

Well done to everyone who took part!

Here is a photo of a few of the children, who were really excited to get their certificates!

Please practise these spellings in different ways and learn the meaning of each word.

incredible

gullible

sensible

accountable

renewable

compatible

responsible

predictable

understandable

Mathletics/Times Table Rock Stars

Please log on to your Mathletics account and complete the activity that has been set for you. We have also set times tables activities to practise on Times Table Rock Stars to achieve your certificates, which are given out in celebration assembly.

Reading

You need to be reading for at least 15 minutes every day at home. This needs to be a combination of independent reading and reading to an adult. Remember to record this in your reading record, even if it is not a school reading book – it can be any form of reading, newspaper, diary, story, information text etc. Use the reading bookmark you have at home to read with.

Remember your fluency level book to read at home.
