Today we had our overdue Golden tea from the last week of the previous half term. The children very proudly shared their successes and enjoying saying well done to each other (and enjoying the chocolate cake of course!)
What a week we had in Year 6 awarding ‘Strong and Powerful’ pins. Have a look at some of the photos of our Strong and Powerful children. We are so proud of our class mates who have achieved their pins and cannot wait to earn ours!

Wow! We have had an amazing day watching our chosen film of ‘The Hobbit’ or ‘The Jungle Book’ and cannot wait to continue creating our movie story books. Have a look at some of the sketches of our characters so far…

We were very proud to award a Strong and Powerful pin on Friday. Well done!

On Friday 13th we were very privileged to invite Dawn Fry, a chocolatier who is the great Granddaughter of the creator of Fry’s Chocolate, to help us understand the process of chocolate creation better. Dawn taught us about the 6 steps of the chocolate process from bean to bar and we had the opportunity to taste chocolate from the start to final process. We also had the opportunity to design our own chocolate bar and create our own chocolate lolly which was yummy!
The next steps for us is to learn how chocolate goes from the bean to the bar and why climate is important for this process alongside focussing on Fair Trade, human and physical geography and why chocolate is an expensive commodity!
