On Christmas Lunch Day we did some fundraising for one of our lovely Year 6’s. Staff wore their Christmas jumpers for the day in exchange for a donation to Great Ormand Street Hospital, a charity quite dear to her.
Well done to the year 3&4 basketball team who achieved 4th place out of the 45 schools that entered the competition!
Year 3 are looking for any junk you may have at home, shoe boxes, cardboard boxes, cereal boxes, egg cartoons etc for our art day for project next week. Anything you have would be great. Please ask the children to bring to Miss Sheridan.
Thank you
Meet Henry the Hedgehog…
I was lucky enough to meet him in the car park for the second time this term. He has been busy opening his relationships with the teachers in the mornings giving them a gotcha smile.
I would love to learn more about our new friend does anybody have any interesting facts about hedgehogs they would like to share with the rest of our Brooklands Farm community?
Miss Tate
As a result of feedback, comments and questions regarding homework at our Curriculum tea evenings and parents evenings this term, next half term we will be organising homework workshops and making resources to be downloaded from our website to help. We would really appreciate it if you could answer these questions about homework so we can make these workshops and resources as beneficial to you as possible.

A huge thank you to all those who were involved and attended this year’s lantern festival. We hope you enjoyed as much as your children enjoyed putting it on for everyone. As always we were blown away with the efforts of every single child singing, dancing and of course lighting up our rather chilly Friday night with such amazing works of art. Well done to everyone, what an amazing community event!
Photos to follow soon!
Can’t wait for you to join us again for next summers Walking with Giants event!
The Year 1 children at Fen Street will be focusing on materials over the next two weeks as part of their project ‘Through The Key Hole’.
The children will be conducting lots of scientific experiments to find out which materials are windproof and waterproof in order to build their very own street of houses.
The Year 1 team are collecting as much junk modelling as possible to help the children build their spectacular creations!
If you have any cardboard boxes, plastic bottles, bubble wrap and recycling materials you wish to dispose of PLEASE bring them into school and drop them off at the Year 1 entrance where there will be a box for you to put your donated materials in.
Thank you for your support.
Year 1 Team
