Curriculum Tea

By N Ahlrichs22nd September 2016

Thank you all for coming to curriculum tea.

It was a great opportunity to start our partnership together in year 3 and look at how we can remain balanced.

I was very impressed with all the Roald Dahl inspired treats we had and I know myself and the children enjoyed them a lot!

Thank you again. From Miss Ahlrichs and 3C 20160921_142041 20160921_142044 20160921_142046 20160921_142053 20160921_170655 20160921_142048 20160921_170655 20160921_180033 20160921_180039 20160921_180133 20160921_180127 20160921_180143 20160921_180759 20160922_083110 20160922_083422 20160922_083558(0) 20160922_083244 20160922_084113 20160922_083803 20160922_083116

3A Week 2

By Miss N Newsome16th September 2016
Stuart_Myers

We have had a  lovely first two weeks back at school. My apologies for the absent post last week, as I was experiencing some technical issues. Over the past two weeks we have continue our learning journey following the ‘Aspiration and Inspiration’ topic. We have enjoyed sharing our home learning with each other and talking about our personal aspirations. On Monday we had a visit and talk from Stuart Myers, who shared his inspirational story with the children. Following on from this we have connected our topic learning to Literacy and written application letters for our desired future jobs; thinking carefully about the skills and attributes we posses and need to develop.

Last week as a ‘Hook’ for our new Literacy text we had an ‘egg challenge’ which the children fully engaged with and really enjoyed. This was a good chance for them to link the problem solving text type we are starting to learn into a real life context.

I would like to wish you all a lovely weekend and look forward to meeting with you all again next week for curriculum teas.

A welcome return to Start the Art!

By 4th July 2016

We are really pleased to announce the return of Start the Art, the early years and community program delivered by MKG and Brooklands arts team.

Hosted by Countess Way site the sessions offer opportunities for creative exploration for pre school members of the community and their parents and the Foundation stage children who attend Countess Way.
The sessions are carefully planned to access all aspects of sensory learning, allowing the children to experience a range high quality and sometimes unusual materials in a friendly child initiated environment.

Sessions for pre schoolers can be booked through Milton Keynes gallery website.
http://www.mkgallery.org/events/2016_07_04/start_the_art_out_and_about/

The sessions for Foundation are included in their usual weekly timetable.
