To mark the end of our fantastic brain project, we created our own aerial view of the human brain! As you can see, each colour makes up a different part of the brain.
Over this week, we have learnt that our brains have many different parts that work together. Our visitors from the ‘Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust’ taught us about the following five parts of the brain:
- cerebrum (say: suh-REE-brum)
- cerebellum (say: sair-uh-BELL-um)
- brain stem
- pituitary (say: puh-TOO-uh-ter-ee) gland
- hypothalamus (say: hy-po-THAL-uh-mus)
