Playtime

By D Gray17th September 2015

I’ve been so proud to see how well year 3 and 4 are playing at break and lunch! They’ve shown that they can be responsible leaders in the school and are looking out for the younger children by opening their hearts to them.

Here you can see them in ‘the cage’ at lunch honing their dodgeball skills!

Welcome to Foundation 2!

By 17th September 2015
Welcome to Foundation 2!
We had a lovely time home visiting you all last week and before the summer holidays. Thank you for inviting us into your homes and letting us get to know you personally.
The whole team has had huge smiles on our faces this week as all the children have settled really fast into our unit and are raring to go.
The biggest surprise has been how amazing they all are at tidying up!
This is going to be an awesome year!

Thank you very much to the Morley-Smith family for this beautiful gift.

It’s a perfect start to us opening new relationships and extending our Brooklands Farm family at the Countess Way campus.

Open, grow, believe!

By admin15th September 2015

We’re now back in full swing at Brooklands Farm!  On Monday, Ms Low led our second whole-school assembly at Fen street. In true Brooklands Farm style, there was lots of singing and celebrating achievements. We were able to congratulate four children who had already received medals by 10am! We have had to order even more medals this year, as we have so many children receiving them. Children can be awarded the Heart, Star or Believe medal – ask your child if you’re not sure what they stand for!

These whole-school assemblies are weekly events at both Fen street and Countess Way. They are a very special time for all of the children and teachers to come together as a whole community. If only we had a big enough hall for everyone from both sites to come together!

A lot of parents have asked about how to navigate the website to find their child’s class page. Here is a brief how to guide:

1. Find ‘Children’ on the top navigation bar.
2. Click on ‘Class Pages’.
3. Find the year group that your child is in.
4. Choose the correct class.
5. Follow the link to their latest news for all updates.

Year 3/4 and the great raisin experiment!

By D Gray11th September 2015

Today we were scientists of the highest calibre! Children challenged themselves to grow their language when describing what happens when raisins are dropped into fizzy lemonade! We reasoned and justified our answers using our knowledge.

Keep up the good work year 3/4
