What an exciting afternoon we have had learning about the different courts and what happens. We even got to take part in a mock trial!
Due to the snow taking over 3b’s world book day fun, it has taken a while to track down these wonderful images of 3b in costume all dressed up as their favourite book characters!

Casting our memory back to before half term, the year 3 children were set a task of learning the story of ‘The Trojan Horse’ and either retelling the story in their own words or using it as inspiration for their own story writing.
We had some amazing entries at Fen Street Year 3 and we would like to say thank you and well done to those children who entered!

Wow! What an amazing and inspirational couple of days working in partnership with SKIP 2B FIT.
All children in our school showed amazing resilience and growth mindset towards improving their own personal bests. We all really enjoyed the motivational competitions between staff and children. Mr Rickett and Mathias are currently our skipping champions – we are looking forward to see if anyone can beat their scores in the future.
We had an amazing day yesterday celebrating International Women’s Day, learning about equality around the world. We have started to create posters and symbols (inspired by the book ‘Malala’s Magic Pencil’) to represent what we want in our own futures.
Learning about the history of equality has encouraged us to have discussions about what we want our world to be like and how we can inspire everyone to be be treated as equals.
We are hoping to finish our posters in the next couple of weeks and want to continue this project looking at different inspirational people throughout the year.
This week in Year 3, we have started looking at mythical creatures from Ancient Greek myths and stories. We have began with Medusa, a hideous, snake headed gorgon! The children had great fun creating their own Medusa head bands and wearing them whilst writing this week.
Today, we have started to create our first piece of artwork for our movie books. We had to tea stain the paper to make it look ancient and authentic.
We can’t wait to share our final pieces with you!
We are so excited that we have completed our first chess club today! We cannot wait for next week.
