2D are busy preparing for the lantern festival! We cannot wait to show everyone what we have learnt!
The children dived straight into their new project yesterday, coming in ready to continue in their learning journey through the project of “Pirates”.
Whether in costume (we had some brilliant outfits!) or not, the children were very engaged in learning all about pirates, how they lived, who the famous pirates were, what the ships were like that they lived on and many more interesting facts – they came up with some brilliant pirate jokes too!
The children worked in groups to be pirate detectives, using lots of resources to find out as much information as they could, as well as perfecting their pirates noises and sayings throughout the day.
Here are some pictures of all of the year 4 classes from their ignite day with me.
Hello 4b!!
I hope you have all had a relaxing and fun half term! Last term was very busy and you all worked extremely hard. You should be very proud of yourselves and I hope that you are feeling settled into Year 4 and on your journey to achieve!
Now for next half terms topic to begin… Pirates!
I hope you are ready to enter into our new topic and enjoy our Ignite day on Monday!
Don’t forget to come dressed with something piratey on Monday – whether that be a hat, eye patch or the whole pirate outfit! If that doesn’t take your fancy then please make sure you design your own pirate in an outfit of your choice.

Year 4 children have created a video to communicate their understanding of the importance of friendship. At Brooklands Farm, we believe that friendship is a gift and we work hard to ensure our relationships are reciprocal and longstanding!
