Today, the Year 6 children have conducted an inspection of each Small School to find out who has the tidiest classroom. After very careful consideration and a fair process of scoring, the Year 6 pupils have decided on the following classes as the winners:
Key Stage 1 winners are….
Class 2b and Class 1a (a draw)
Lower Key Stage 2 winners are….
Class 3b and Class 4b (a draw)
Upper Key Stage 2 winners are….
Class 5b
Congratulations to all of you – the school now looks very tidy! Let’s work together to keep it that way!
As you can see, teachers have been busy this morning putting the finishing touches to the Year 3’s new rainforest learning environment! The children’s reactions were priceless – with my favourite quote being ‘I’ve never seen a classroom like this before!!’ See the speech bubble below for further quotes from the children.
The Year 3’s have pointed out that the Rainforest needs more flowers and animals so they will be continuing to create these this morning!
Today, all of Year 3 have been busy creating a rainforest environment in their classroom. I’ve seen every single child in learning zone 5, displaying amazing creativity and team work! After school, the teachers have been busy putting all of the children’s creations together and the classrooms are already looking wonderful! Watch this space for more photos next week!
It was fantastic to see so many parents yesterday for the first Curriculum Tea. The idea that everyone in the community has a voice to express any issues they may have helping their children is very important to us and hope everyone found the session informative and helpful.
3B achieved high learning zones as we investigated different plants and looked at the functions of the different parts of the plants.
Looking forward to seeing you all at 8am tomorrow morning for our amazing adventure to the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham! Don’t forget your packed lunch in a named plastic bag.
