Well done to the proud attendees of the golden tea this week! These children have been chosen by their teachers for oustanding learning behaviours and reciprocal relationships all week.
In Literacy we used where’s wally pictures to see how important it is to describe noun’s. We began by looking for the clown in the picture, the picture was full of clowns so we had to add in more description. Can you find the red clown, and then the red clown with yellow buttons, the red clown with yellow buttons and blue and white striped trousers. We used these skills to describe the old woman in our story. The children came up with super descriptions!
Attention Year 4, make sure you remember to dress up as a book character on Monday!
Who is your favourite character? Could you dress up as them?
We look forward to seeing all of your wonderful outfits on Monday morning!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
From the Year 4 Teachers
This morning we are exploring the dictionaries to find out what affect the prefix in- and mis- have on the root word. Look at the learning zone 5’s!
Wow!!! We had so much fun during our ignite morning!! The children built a lego village, they then made electrical circuits to make their houses light up! They even got to make a train move along the tracks! I have never seen so many learning zone 5’s! Best of all Mr Garside who came in to do the workshop said he was so amazed by the behaviour and maturity the children showed! We are proud of the children every single day but for someone else to say it just proves how wonderful they are!
We think the photos will speak for themselves!
We are really excited that tomorrow morning we have an electricity workshop coming to school. The children will build a city with Lego and connect it all to make a circuit with electricity. This should make the city light up and the vehicles move. Keep an eye on this page for photos tomorrow!
