Fridays at Countess Way are now when Year 3 come together again as a year group and work with Mr. Gray. Today we have been learning about performance poetry using speaking and listening skills. We then went on to answer today’s Big Question: What is an ecosystem?

As part of our learning about light in science, the children made shadow puppet theatres and wrote their own little story. They learnt that shadows can change size the closer or further from the light an object is.

Well done to Year 3D today for successfully communicating their learning about our natural disasters project. We were lucky enough to have Matt from Wilmot Dixon come in to review our learning and ask some good questions about our natural disaster proof houses.

Today we had a great time investigating all the different rocks and soils. The children decided on their own ways to sort and group them. Furthering that, they tested out permeability and hardness!
