Nursery want to thank all our parents for attending our Songs Around The Christmas Tree Christmas Play. Across both school sites, we had 97% attendance from the parents which was incredible, not to mention all the grandparents, aunties, brothers and sisters that joined us too. It was wonderful to see the children so happy to share their singing with you, not a single tear was shed!
We also had 13 children that had 100% attendance at Nursery last term. With all the coughs and colds that go round in Winter, this is really something to celebrate. We can tell you are loving coming to school!
On Thursday 29th November a mixed team of Year 5 and 6 children travelled to Stantonbury to take part in an inter school basketball competition. They played a total of 6 games, all lasting 7 minutes. Of these 6 games, they won 5 in succession only narrowly losing the last game by 1 point. As a result, their team finished top and they were declared winners of the competition!
All of the children who took part showed an outstanding display of teamwork and individual talent in what was a fantastic evening of team sports. In addition, Brooklands Farm received extra praise from all the referees helping out in the event, saying how well they all played together. A massive congratulations to all of these children who took part.
Yesterday we went on an amazing trip to the Houses of Parliament. We really enjoyed looking inside the House of Commons and asked lots of questions! Afterwards, we had a session on campaigns and how laws are created. We had such a brilliant day! Thank you to the parent helpers – we really enjoyed having you with us!

This week is Anti-Bullying Week. In Tell Me Tuesday we discussed what bullying might look like and shared this year’s Anti-Bullying video with the children.
On Wednesday, we had a great trip to Explore Learning, Kingston. Whilst we were there, we had to use our problem solving and reasoning to tackle different problems. We were also competing against other schools.
A massive well done to everyone that took part! Your resilience and determination was amazing to see and you should be really proud of yourselves!
