In year 3 we have had a fantastic two days back getting our classrooms ready for our project ‘Natural Disasters’. It had provoked a lot of interesting and engaging questions which we will try to answer before end of term.
We had a lovely session of PSHE today. We were discussing stereotypes and sharing our thoughts. The children expressed their opinions clearly, maturely and showed real insight into the world around them. Congratulations 3C , you are well on the way to becoming balanced individuals.
As you can see, teachers have been busy this morning putting the finishing touches to the Year 3’s new rainforest learning environment! The children’s reactions were priceless – with my favourite quote being ‘I’ve never seen a classroom like this before!!’ See the speech bubble below for further quotes from the children.
The Year 3’s have pointed out that the Rainforest needs more flowers and animals so they will be continuing to create these this morning!
Today, all of Year 3 have been busy creating a rainforest environment in their classroom. I’ve seen every single child in learning zone 5, displaying amazing creativity and team work! After school, the teachers have been busy putting all of the children’s creations together and the classrooms are already looking wonderful! Watch this space for more photos next week!
It was fantastic to see so many parents yesterday for the first Curriculum Tea. The idea that everyone in the community has a voice to express any issues they may have helping their children is very important to us and hope everyone found the session informative and helpful.
Unfortunately Miss Rose has had trouble posting to the website but she is keen to show her enthusiasm with you!
She says…
“I am enjoying working with all of the children in Year 3 and 4 again! I am really looking forward to helping them achieve and celebrating their successes with them this year.”
Mr Davis says:
‘3C have had an exciting day today with our first swimming lesson of the year! Well done to everyone that have grown their learning and believing in themselves to have a go and enjoy a new sport.’
