Weaving a journey as a designer at Brooklands Farm
At Brooklands Farm Primary School we weave our Design and Technology learning journey throughout a broad and balanced curriculum. We follow the National Curriculum and are passionate that our children have the opportunity to nurture creativity and innovation through design, and making functional products. We ensure children develop skills and knowledge in design, structure, mechanisms, electrical control and a range of materials that include food. Children have the opportunity to explore real life problems, encouraging creativity and critical thinking through partnerships with Volkswagen. Our holistic approach ensures that children are empowered to become confident learners and lead fulfilled lives as citizens of our local and their wider communities.
