Reception admissions September 2027

All places for the Reception cohort starting in September 2027 will be allocated by Milton Keynes Council.

We are six form entry primary school, across two sites. The school has a PAN of 180 places in each year group.

 

Applying for a school place – Starting school for the first time in September 2027

If your child was born between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023 they will be due to start school in September 2027.

You must apply online by the closing date (15th January 2027).

The national offer day  is the 16th April 2027.

We are holding tours in which you are able to visit us.  Please email the school office to book your place.

Brooklands Farm Primary School is one school with two campuses: Fen Street and Countess Way. The school serves the settlements of Brooklands and Broughton Gate.

Appeals

If you have applied for a school place at Brooklands Farm Primary school and have been unsuccessful and would like to lodge an appeal please contact our Admission Officer Lesley Thelwell via office@brooklandsfarm.milton-keynes.sch.uk.

Admissions appeals for places in Reception in September 2027

  • Following National Offer Day on 16th April 2027 if you named Brooklands Farm Primary School as one of your preferences and were unsuccessful, you have a right to appeal against the decision to an independent appeal panel.

 

If your appeal is for reception, years 1 or 2, your appeal can only be upheld if either: 

  • The admission of your child would not breach the infant class size limits. 
  • That the admission arrangements did not comply with the mandatory requirements of the School Admissions Code. 
  • The admission arrangements were not correctly and impartially applied in your case. 
  • That the decision not to offer your child a place was not one which a reasonable admission authority would make in the circumstances of the case. 
  • Please email office@brooklandsfarm.milton-keynes.sch.uk to request an appeal form.

For in-year appeals for immediate entry, make your appeal within 20 school days of the refusal letter. The appeal will be heard as soon as possible. Please read the following information from Milton Keynes Council carefully before making your appeal.

We accept children into our Nursery the September following their 3rd Birthday.
